INTEGRATIVE PREGNANCY MASSAGE -20 CEU'S FL & NCBTMB

Integrative Pregnancy Massage is a 20 hour certification course for massage therapists and health care practitioners who are interested in the techniques, parameters and indications of therapeutic massage and bodywork for pregnant clients. The course begins with a thorough analysis of the anatomy and physiology of the pregnancy, labor and post-part um period from both a Western and Traditional Chinese Medical perspective.
We will discuss the treatment of common and high risk conditions, appropriate positioning, props, maintaining records and liability concerns. Participants will become aquatinted the parameters of employing adjunctive massage modalities, hydro and spa therapies, reflexology and acupressure techniques.
Participants will learn techniques for integrating essential oils, acupressure points and advanced techniques for the enhancement of their effects in pregnant, laboring and postpartum clients. Participants will be required to both give and receive a side lying massage. Please bring sheets, lotion, and 3 standard pillows.
Completion of the 20 hour course, competency in both written and practical examination, and 3 completed case studies leads to a Certification in Pregnancy Massage and recognition as a qualified practitioner in our data base at: www.integrativetouch.net.

PEDIATRIC AND INFANT MASSAGE FOR THE MASSAGE THERAPIST 7CEU'S FL & NATL


This is a 7 hour course for massage therapists and health care providers who are interested in learning the techniques, parameters and indications of therapeutic massage for children from birth to age seven. We will explore the current research in the field of pediatric massage and will outline the needs of premature, infant, toddler and school age children in relation to massage. Participants will learn a massage routine and acupressure techniques that address conditions commonly seen in pediatric patients such as colic, constipation, touch aversion, and asthma.
All practical work is performed on provided dolls.
You may bring your own doll as well, the more life like and freely moveable is ideal. Please bring 1 standard size pillow. If you have a child who would like to be your actual client please contact me prior to attending.

FUNDAMENTALS OF ORIENTAL BODYWORK SHIATSU-LEVEL 1 16 CEU'S FL & NCBTMB


Oriental Bodywork is a traditional form of massage that includes stretching, breathing techniques and various methods of compression designed to liberate and restore the flow of energy in the body. Performed on the table, the therapist uses moderate to intense finger pressure (Shi-atsu) on specific meridian points on the body in a rhythmic fashion which liberates blockages, tension and pain making it possible for one to effortlessly experience deep relaxation.
This course will enable the therapist to perform a full 60 minute routine that works on the14 meridians, the abdomen and specific acupressure points. Participants will be given an overview of Oriental Medicine philosophy, acupressure and diagnostic techniques and the 5 element system. Participants will both give and receive the routine. Successful completion of the course, examination and evaluation will grant them a Level 1 certification.

GUA SHA & CUPPING
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES OF ORIENTAL BODYWORK

This course presents the valuable and ancient techniques of Gua Sha and cupping and is ideal for LMTS and APs looking for treatment solutions for chronic pain. Gua Sha is a simple scraping technique performed on the skin that is useful for addressing symptoms of the common cold, pain and other patterns of imbalance. Cupping, the application of a glass or plastic jar (both will be shown) used to provide suction-n is a technique used to draw and remove blockages from the channels. The unique combination of Gua Sha and cupping together in the treatment of chronic and stubborn pain patterns is the gem of this course. It is so effective and effortless, most practioners find it un-necessary to use needles or employ traditional NMT strategies, thus saving time, money and energy and at the same time- delivering powerful and lasting results. This course presents the following:
